Pattern distribution

I wish Multiscatter had a pattern distribution for objects, similar what iToo Forest Pack has. When I make a grass it is really hard to make a natural look of the grass without patterns for each type of grass, which have a tendency to grow together rather than randomly placed around.

When I try to use masks for each item in Multiscatter objects list it breaks the probability value. For example, when I have probability about 1% I see only few items in distribution. But when I apply mask for this item to create the pattern its probability jumps high like 100% and I see multiple objects in distribution. End even lowering probability to 0.01% doesn't help, I still have a lot of objects in distribution. What is the logic of working with mask and probability together?
