my installer (both WS & RS) stops (tested on 3 computers) because he could´not write the ".../mentalray/shaders_autoload/shader/MultiScatterMental.dll" file!
all other files could copied, but after the one error, the installer removes it.
tested on:
3dmax 2010, windows7 64bit, also same problem with vista64bit, 3dmax 2010. Installerpath is correct (3d Max 2010). 3dmax was always closed.
anyone who can help?

Can you copy any files to "/mentalray/shaders_autoload/shader/MultiScatterMental.dll" manually?

yes, and that is what i allready tried. but the installer deletes the other files (or just don´t install the files) because of the error.
i install multiscatter loged in as an administrator.
thanks for any help!

Actual path is "\mentalray\shaders_autoload\shaders\MultiScatterMental.dll" ?
Or you move some things?

yes, everything is standard.
i could manually copy files to the path, or rename.
just the installer doesn´t work.

dear forum.
sorry for the missunderstanding. you must be logged in as ADMINISTRATOR, it is NOT enough to be logged in as a user with admin status.
this helped!
best greetings,
Tobias
